Like everyone, the FWCCN was affected by the pandemic. Temporary modifications or changes to our Emergency Services, Community Meals and Community Gardens Programs had to be made beginning in March 2020, but our mission to help people in our community with basic needs continued. From March 2020 to October 2021 over 260 families struggling to keep their rent up to date as much as possible and not accumulate a huge debt, qualified for partial rent assistance from the FWCCN. Gasoline vouchers
and bus tickets were suspended in March,2020 but started again in July 2021. Limited motel assistance also provided. Over 5,000 meals were served at the Community Meals to those in need, including lunch bags, hot meals and to-go meals, with modifications to meet COVID guidelines. And hundreds of pounds of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, from the Community Gardens, were distributed to
seniors, in need, in our community.

Community Meals are available as follows:
Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm at the Christian Faith Center - 33645 20th Ave. S, and on Saturday afternoons from 1:00-2:00pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd - 345 S. 312th. There are no restrictions on attending the meals.
COVID guidelines are implemented at all program locations.
